La Ca’ Vecchia
La Ca’ Vecchia is a recovered country house that constitutes the first inhabited nucleus of Rea, a small village in the Oltrepò Pavese, 18 Km from Pavia. La Ca’ Vecchia is a guesthouse which includes a quality restaurant (only with reservation) and the rooms of the B&B. There is a little garden on the side of the court, to relax between trees and flowers, and a tiny chapel with a sculpture of Italian artist Pino Baù. The village of Rea is located in the park of the river Po, on the right side of the riverbank, at the end of the Ticino National Park, in the direction of the Via Francigena and of the Via del Sale (Way of Salt). Just a few kilometres away you can find the hills of Casteggio, a morainic amphitheatre, representing a local attraction because of their natural, historical and cultural value.
La Ca’ Vecchia is mentioned among the selections of Touring Stanze Italiane 2014 2015 2016 2017 and meets the quality certification of Ospitalità Italiana. Furthermore, Tripadvisor certificate is of Excellence in 2014.
“A few kilometres from the famous Casteggio, in the small village of Rea, is the place where the close couple of Tina and Ferdinando, after a lifetime of globetrotting, have reopened this family home, transforming it into a foodie port. Seasonality of raw materials and menus renewed every week. ” Translated from Guida Critica Golosa 2012
